The North Pennines ~ Easter 2013These photos were taken during my trip to the Lake District this year. I had the most amazing experience of my life on our journey there, which sadly I do not have photos for but the memory will stay with me forever. We were staying in the highest town in Britain and we travelled up overnight. We were driving through snow covered mountain peaks at 3am...there was a full moon and the sky was the clearest, brightest blue. The image of the moon reflecting on the snow peaks as we drove through endless twists and turns to the mountain peak is something you can only dream of happening, I was at that . Totally awesome :)

Fossil Tree ~ StanhopeThis fossil was dug up from it's original place which is a shame really, but still very amazing. It is situated in front of St Thomas' church in Stanhope, the North Pennines. There are several other fossil trees found at the same areas as this one, which have also been moved to various museums. I am honoured to be of been in the presence of a fossil that is billions of years old....amazing!!! |
