Fossil Tree ~ StanhopeThis fossil was dug up from it's original place which is a shame really, but still very amazing. It is situated in front of St Thomas' church in Stanhope, the North Pennines. There are several other fossil trees found at the same areas as this one, which have also been moved to various museums. I am honoured to be of been in the presence of a fossil that is billions of years old....amazing!!!
