I have treated myself to a Fitibt Charge 3 ... and love it!!!
Okay so the last two weeks have not been so good. I put a pound on last week and also a pound on the week before. In my defence I have been poorly with pharyngitis which meant lots of lucozade and throat sweets, also eating things that I fancied rather than staying on plan.
My total weight lost to date is still eight pound so I am focusing on that. I have invested in a Fitbit Charge 3 and this is a WOW!!! It is the best thing I have brought for a long time. It is a new toy and measures absolutely everything. Your heartbeat 24/7, your sleep pattern including awake time and deep sleep time. Little did I know that I wake up on average 6 times a night. I have started to increase my steps as well. I suffer with hip bursitis and plantar fascilitis so to walk far cripples me, but onwards and upwards. I have three weeks until I go to Lourdes so I need to be a bit more active than I am right now. On plan 100% since Wednesday, and I intend to keep on plan. Fingers crossed. I have a new obsession, Fat free Greek Yoghurt and a splash of honey! Have a great week everyone xx

What an amazing week I have had. Another 2lb off this week bringing my total lost to date to 10 and half pound. Have reached the three quarters of a stone mark ... yayyy!!!
Not only have I lost weight but I have also completed my healing course so am now a Rahanni Celestial Healing Practitioner. Something I have wanted to do for a very long time. I can start to feel the difference in my clothes already. Ten pound may not be noticeable to the naked eye but I can feel the difference. All the confidence in the world to get to the stone mark. My goal for Christmas is a stone and a half in total ... we will see how I go. Onwards and upwards. Have a great week everyone xx What an amazing week. A weekend of celebrations for my daughters birthday and I still manage to lose two and half pound. Brings my total loss to eight and a half pound so far.
An added extra bonus, I received Slimmer of the Week as well. I now have a renewed sense of determination, so much so that I have paid for the next 12 weeks upfront. A commitment to myself, at long last I will stick to this diet to lose the weight. My plans for the coming week are to stay on plan for the majority of days and then have a day off on Saturday. I have a meal booked with my sisters on Saturday and am going to enjoy it. I am feeling so much better, my skin feels better and I already have more energy than I have had for a long time. I know for sure if I was not going to group each week I would not stick to it. Have also started to walk on average 2 miles a day, which I am hoping to increase as well. I have a holiday booked in 6 weeks in Lourdes, I need to be fitter for that holiday. I cannot wait, hopefully a stone off by then. My day usually consists of fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, more fruit for lunch and sometimes cereal. I have had a yoghurt and banana this morning, my plan for my meal this evening is Slimming World Vegetarian Burger, brown roll, with lots of salad and Slimming World Chips, and no snacking tonight as I am out on a Healing Sound Journey! Hope you all have an amazing week! xx Sorry I have not posted for a couple of weeks so have missed 2 weigh ins, I have been away on holiday in beautiful North Wales, a week in Anglesey and then a week in Snowdonia in the mountains.
I have not been following plan while I was away, however at weigh in this week I had still lost half a pound. My total weight loss to date is 6 pound. I have been good since I weighed in on Wednesday, however it is my daughters birthday tomorrow and we are out for a meal. My hardest time of day is the evenings. I am great at breakfast, fruit and a yoghurt. Lunch is never a problem either a sandwich and fruit, however I get to about 4pm and then start picking on anything and everything. I do dinner and then an hour later am looking for snacks of any kind. Once I start on the snacks I cannot stop. I would love some tips on how to solve this night time/evening bingeing please? Other than that I still have the determination to make it happen this time. I look at the clothes I long to wear - even the clothes I have in my own wardrobe that no longer fit me and this is what is spurring me on to stay at it. Hopefully next Wednesday I will get my first half stone award. I have set a goal to lose a stone and a half by Christmas week. I will be so happy if I can do it, that is roughly 2 pound a week between now and then. Will let you know my progress! Onwards and Upwards ONLY HALF A POUND OFF
Well week 2 has not been so successful. I have had lots of cravings especially in the evenings. If there is chocolate about I want to eat it. I have been on the scales more times than i have had hot dinners this week ... and lost ... half a pound. I am not too gutted because it is still a loss no matter how small. I still have the passion and determination to lose the weight. Tonight I cooked myself marmite roast potatoes, very tasty they were as well. I do now know where I am going wrong, I do not fill a third of my plate with speed food. When you do not really like vegetables it does not help lol. Well I am off on Sunday for a two week holiday so there will be no weigh-ins. It is my intention to stay on plan and walk as much as possible to keep that weight coming off. Fingers crossed. I want a slim body so will do whatever it takes. This is my inspiration to keep at it no matter how hungry I am. I want to wear nice clothes and not always feel tired and lazy. Writing the blog is helping me, it gives me a diary of events as well as a diary of how I have been feeling this week. Onwards and upwards! If you have any tips or advice please leave me a comment below: First weigh in and ........
I LOST 5LB Am so happy with myself right now. I stayed on plan and it has paid off. I must admit that I did have a day or two with a bad headache one day and also the last few days have been emotional. I have though not let anything stop me from doing this. I also won the raffle tonight so win win for me. Certainly given me loads of positive thoughts for the coming week. Bring it on ... big loss for week 2 would be nice!! My goal for the coming week is to up the exercise a little ... it is non existent at the moment!! Have a great week everyone, if you are doing slimming world or any other diet, or can offer any tips or advice, please leave a comment below: Losing Weight with Slimming WorldLosing weight is one of those things that I have never quite got a hold of, I have been down this same road many times, an ongoing battle. I am documenting this blog because this time I am serious about getting fit and healthy. In 2006 I was diagnosed with a huge gallstone, this meant a fat-free diet, from the October until January I lost nearly 5 stone. The weight just fell off, but I was poorly so I did not feel the benefit of it. I managed to keep the weight off for a few years, but gradually one stone then two crept back on. In the last two years I have not been working, what with pain and medication changes the weight has increased by another stone or so. The issues with my hip, feet and back mean exercise is difficult to. So here I am ... I made the decision one week ago that this is it, I do not just want to lose a stone or so, I want it all gone, I want to be healthy and slim! Last Wednesday 5th September 2018, along with my daughter, I went to our local slimming world, a different group to the one we have been to before. My sister has just lost 3 stone with slimming world and looks amazing. Everyone in the group was enthusiastic and helpful. So we both set our intentions. Our leader is a lovely soul and totally appreciates the addiction to sugar that I believe I have. She went through food optimising and how much free food we could eat and also how many syns we were allowed per week 5-15. I set myself a goal that is a weight I personally have never seen before!! Optimistic maybe, but it needs to be done. I decided if I am going to make this work chocolate needs to be a no no. A little bit would lead to me wanting more so I would cut it out completely. The first day was a little tough, it would of been so easy to grab those things that make me feel happy. I still do not understand how some foods can make you feel happy when you eat them and then feel rubbish after the event! After just a few days of staying on plan 100% I felt loads better. I normally have a bad headache in the evenings and fall asleep, only to go to bed and not be able to sleep, this has changed already, I no longer nod off, no headaches. I am pre-planning everything I eat and it is quite exciting. I do not each fish or meat or many vegetables so am limited in what I can have. I compensate with loads of fruit. As I made the choice to give up chocolate I use my syns to have a treat in the evening. A skinny latte and either a scone or crumpet. I know that I have probably lost weight already and am excited to be going on Wednesday for the first weigh in. So here is week one of Losing weight with Slimming World! If you have lost weight with Slimming World, or any other means and can share any comments or advice I would love to hear from you in the comments below:
Aloe Vera ~ The Healer ~ The Miracle Plant
Aloe Vera is the healer, it has been used right back to the ancient time of the Romans. A universal plant that has so many benefits. It was used as a wound herb and is known for it's healing qualities. The gel inside the plant can be used for inflammation and skin conditions and to treat burns. It is cooling to the skin and is also antibacterial.
It can be used straight from the plant, simply split the leave and scrape out the gel. You can apply to eczema, allergic rashes, sunburn, dry skin, wounds and insect bites. It is great for the skin on so many levels, containing vitamins C & E and beta carotene which all help the skin with anti ageing. You can use it on your skin every day. You can also ingest aloe vera. It has amazing properties that help with weight loss. It contains amino acids and enzymes that promote your immunity. It can be found in many dietary supplements. It has been proven to relieve irritable bowel syndrome too. You can blend a small amount of the gel when making smoothies. Most benefit will be from taking it daily for a week or two and then have a break for a week or two. It is not a plant that takes much looking after either. Mature plants will have offshoots that can be easily replanted. It is called the 'plant of immortality' by the Egyptians as it is so easy to grow. If you keep one in your bedroom window it will aid a great nights sleep as it emits oxygen at night. The more rooms you have this beautiful plant in the healthier your environment will be.
There are many ways we can clear our aura, unblock the chakras and remove any negative energy. Our personal space is as precious to us as our physical body and yet most of us do not take time to even think about our energetic field and yet this is what will change how we feel.
There are so many ways you can change your energy field. The colours that you wear on a daily basis, think about why you are drawn to wearing that particular colour on that day. Often it is because we need a boost in that area of our lives. Keeping our homes clean, our place of work clean and making sure we set the intentions to 'own' our space. Make changes to your diet, eat as many colours as possible every single day. Set the intentions to do some exercise every day. If we do all these things for our physical body our energy body automatically revives itself. Do not put harmful chemicals that are in cosmetics and skin creams on your skin, use organic. It takes only 26 seconds for the chemicals to enter through the skin and into the blood stream. Use essential oils in your bath. Totally natural and will leave you feeling loads better. Use crystals, they are given to us from mother earth, use them to heal and to give you a greater connection to the divine. Use candles that are the same colour as the crystals you are using, colour therapy is good for the soul. Spend time in nature, connect to the beauty that is there and given to us for free. Allow the elementals to connect with you. They will see your beauty, if you watch closely they will show themselves. Nothing better than sitting with a tree and connecting to the tree spirit. Think positively. My favourite quote is 'think it, believe it, receive it' and it really does happen. Changing our thoughts from negative to positive lifts our vibration and expands the aura. The more you are able to think positively the more balanced your aura will be. And lastly, be thankful, every morning when you wake think of something positive that you are grateful for, however small. Do the same thing last thing at night. The more you do these things the more balanced your aura will be and the better you will feel. Blessings to you all xx I woke this morning with these thoughts, we crave things we don't have in life and grasp onto things we do have. Most of us will be guilty of this at some point in our life. The reality is by doing this we never really get what we want, all this does is cause us suffering. We become obsessed with pampering our own needs, building ourselves a safe haven by trying to get all those things we desire and yet locking ourselves away from those things that we fear. Sadly the reality is we can never lock ourselves away from pain and suffering, life includes these things at certain times and we waste so much time trying to intend to avoid them. Some of us build our little palaces, we chase pleasure and try to keep up with the Jones's. The thing is if we grasp something for too long or too tightly, your hand will begin to ache, what seemed like pleasure has become a bit painful. While you were busy grasping, you were not able to use your hands for anything else. Imagine the opportunities you may of lost because your hand was so busy focusing on grasping something so tightly. Imagine for one minute what would happen if you released your grasp, open your hand, the object will still be there, you have not lost it, you can put it down and pick it back up, it is still there. There is no need to grasp anything, the tighter you hold on to it, the more suffering it causes both to you and whatever it is you are grasping hold of. Hold it loosely...set it free...and in doing so you free yourself. Have a beautiful day xx |
