How to Use the Power of Colour in Everyday Life Imagine a world with no colour, how unexciting this would be. Colours provide a vital role in our everyday lives and have been used in every culture, religion and tradition. At either end of the colour spectrum we have Black and White. White is the colour of the moon and feminine energy and symbolizes purity and light, it promotes ideas of innocence. It is the colour of faith and peace and perfect union. Black is the combination of all colours mixed together, it symbolizes darkness and a time to look within, it is the colour of potential, space and protection. Black is also the colour of allure and mystery, the colour of the unknown. It is a great colour to wear to feel totally in control and grounded. After all, all life first germinates in darkness.
The warm colours of red, orange and yellow evoke emotions from feeling warmth and comfort to feeling anger and hostility. Whilst colours on the blue spectrum which include blue, purple and green are described as calm colours but they can also bring feelings of sadness.
So colours have an influence on how we feel and act, different spiritual vibrations are produced by different colours. We all have the ability to draw on these vibrational colour rays, if we concentrate only on the positive, good and uplifting rays we will be helped in mind, body and spirit.

The rainbow is combination of all colours bringing them to one in perfect harmony. It symbolizes the interconnection between sky and earth, spiritual and physical and the unity to all that is. It is a symbol of unbelievable natural beauty. The rainbow offers us the opportunity for transformation and choice, there is always another way to see something are we prepared to see this new perspective. All four of natures elements are needed to allow the rainbow to manifest, the sun (fire) provides the energy rays, the rain (water) or suspended momentarily in the sky (air) and the rainbow appears with both ends on the ground (earth), how amazingly beautiful. When you combine all of natures elements you have the perfect unity...when all of these are in balance in your own life you too have perfect harmony.
The seven colours of the rainbow red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet are linked to the seven days of the week, the seven heavens, the seven chakras and the aura. Crystals can be used to enhance these colours to maintain health of the mind, body and spirit. The chameleon can change it's body colour to any one of the seven colours of the rainbow. It is the totem animal for the rainbow, and can show us how we can adapt to any situation or experience, what others perceive of you is what you project to the world. He can change colour depending on his mood and teaches us that we are totally responsible for adjusting our own energy, feelings and responses. May your rainbow lead you to your own pot of gold!
"Somewhere over the Rainbow, way up high There's a land that I heard of, once in a lullaby. ....Birds fly over the Rainbow, why then, oh why can't I?" ~ "Over the Rainbow" from "Wizard of Oz" ~
