Casting Spells
What is a spell? ~ “A weaving of energies sent into the universe to produce an intention.”
What does it do? ~ “It concentrates and brings focus to an intention.”
How do we use it? ~ “For the greater good.”
Manifest the life you desire, your life, your wealth, your happiness. Experiences in life give us opportunities and possibilities. The density of physical reality can overtake, when we are in alignment with our spirit self, our higher conscious, our intentions become pure. Spells are a perfect way to make your dreams and desires become a reality.
It is important to remember that casting spells should only be about you. We all have free will and we should not interfere with the free will of others. Also asking the right questions or setting the right intentions is equally important. Always remembering that what we think about inevitably will be what we attract.
It is important to find out first if the outcome of the particular spell we are going to cast is going to be positive. To achieve this simply use tarot cards, or any other form of divination such as dowsing or crystals to get the answer. If you use the tarot, shuffle the cards while setting the intentions of the spell and ask the question ‘will the outcome of this spell be positive’. If the card you turn over is in the upright position this is a yes the outcome will be positive, if it is reversed then maybe now is not the right time to be casting this particular spell. Always listen to this guidance before creating your spell.
Time, place and circumstance are the most important factors. The art of any spell casting is to modify the spell in any way you wish, with any items that you feel are right or necessary. You are unique and this should also apply to your spells. It is also important to be clear about what your intention is. For a money spell it is an idea to ask for an opportunity for you to earn that money, always knowing that an exchange of energy is needed. For a love spell, do the love spell on yourself, so that you become more attractive to the person you are seeking, you are using magical energy to open up opportunity for them to notice you.
Setting a sacred space or altar to conduct your spells is just as important, as is using the four elements of earth, wind, fire and water the fifth element being spirit, which is your higher self. Clear your space before casting your intentions. You can use a feather for this, this gives you the element of 'air'. Alternatively you can burn incense for this purpose and for this element also excellent for creating the right mood for the spell. Walk around your sacred space with your incense or feather, asking either out loud or in your mind for the energies to be cleared. Once you are happy you can place the incense or feather on your alter.
Candles are also a great way to set the mood for any spell and bring in the element of fire. The flame of a candle emits universal energy. Burning candles when casting spells to unite our own spirit with the candle flame. You are the creator using the candle flame to amplify your desires and goals. Different colour candles can be used for different purposes. You should however allow the candle to burn out and not use it for any other spells. Using candles will give you the fire element. Choosing the colour of the candle is significant as well. There are different colours for each day of the week, colours for the God & Godesses and also different colours depending on what the spell is about. For a love spell both a black and white candle to represent the God & Goddess, a coloured candle for the day of the week and a pink candle for love. Colours are important in other ways in spells, colour magic energy surrounds each and every one of us in our aura, using colour within spells enhances the vibration of that particular colour, thus expanding your intentions for your spell.
Choosing a crystal of your choice can amplify your intent, there are literally hundreds to choose from and every single one is unique. The key is to look at the attributes of the crystal or gemstone, choose ones you feel drawn to. Crystal energy can assist you in any area of life. Each and every crystal has its own life force energy. Using this energy will give you the earth element, for the water element of the spell you can use spring water or essential oils. Water is the element for emotion and compassion so perfect for using with love spells.
You can also use the Tarot in spells to create those changes you desire in life. The magic of the tarot has fascinated people for thousands of years. The symbolism in the cards is so powerful and strong with the added beauty that you can choose whichever card suits the situation best. The 22 Major Arcana have the strongest energy, for example if you are looking to trust your gut instinct around a situation, or to be given that intuition a great card to use would be The High Priestess. The Chariot represents taking control and movement, a great card for a spell on safe journeys or travelling. The options are endless, finding cards that resonate with your own inner self is the key. All you need to know is the basic meaning of the 22 Major Arcana. You can download a FREE Major Arcana Meanings sheet below.
