Ancient Art of Dowsing

Earth’s energy is one of the greatest yet least understood gifts we have been given. We can use this energy for the benefit of ourselves and others. So what is dowsing, it is ‘the use of paranormal powers to make discoveries’ - it can only be felt not seen. It is a way of tapping into the higher senses that cannot be seen, to touch the invisible.
Dowsing has been a part of human culture since time began. We have seen proof in cave drawings and in Egyptian hieroglyphs. The most common form of dowsing is to detect underground water sources, metal and other objects that are hidden from view.
The Romans used both rods and pendulums in their quest to find metal. The very first written evidence was from the 5th century by Herodotus the Greek who reported using wooden Y forks to find water. AD936 a silver coin shows clearly a man with a forked stick above mining works. It was Elizabeth 1st who first got wind of how valuable these wooden sticks were at finding metal. She enlisted German miners to develop England’s resources.
In the 1600’s the church declared dowsing as a satanic practice, dowsers were labelled as water witches and would face trial and maybe death for practising witchcraft. However scientific proof that dowsing works has not been forthcoming and it can still be seen as trickery.
Ley lines are man made energy lines, created by stone formations and ancient archaeological structures. Their existence was founded by an amateur archaeologist Alfred Watkins, whose book The Old Straight Track brought these alignments to the broader public. Hartman lines are the natural energy lines that occur across the whole planet, they form a magnetic grid that runs from North to South and East to West. The grid intersects and where these lines cross can be both positive or negative, they are sensitive to the rhythms of the hours and the seasons. Another earthing grid is described as the Curry lines which define the mystic force field that covers the earth. Problems can arise in the earth when the Hartman and Curry lines cross. Also these grids can become distorted by geological fault lines and also underground mining.

Facts:
Dowsing has survived within the human culture for more than 10,000 years.
It can be used for:
Locating underground water and minerals
Locating buried treasure
Locating lost items
Locating wells and streams
Locating geospirals
Locating geopathic stress
To measure your own energy field/aura
To give you a yes/no answer to any subject
The most common instruments to use are rods, pendulums, crystals, bent coat hangers, tree branches or even your own fingers and thumbs. Dowsers pose questions to the rods which will move depending on the answer. The magnetic field will give the dowser the answer.
Anyone can do it, it is like walking or riding a bike and should be a part of everyone’s daily routine. Always remembering to use it appropriately and with the right intentions for the higher good.

How to dowse with rods:
Stand or sit with your feet flat on the floor, hold the rods shoulder width apart. The rods should be pointing directly out in front of you. Ask your rods to show you the answer yes. The rods should move, be patient and practice, mine cross over for the answer yes. If they do not move at all this is the answer no for me. You need to find your own personal YES/NO answers. Once you are happy with your answers you are ready to dowse.
There are always a set of questions you need to ask every single time before you dowse. The first one should always be :
Is this a good time to dowse about......?
Then there are 3 other questions you need to ask, Can I dowse about....? May I dowse about.....? Should I dowse about.....?
Can I = Am I ready
May I = Do I have permission
Should I = Is it appropriate/is it my business
If you a get NO answer to any of those questions then should not continue, maybe the time is not right for you to be asking those particular questions.
However when asking questions be very careful what you ask for. If you wanted to know if your husband will leave you, you will probably get a YES as he leaves you every day to go to work!
Always trust the answers you get, the more you do this the better you will get and you will know instinctively to follow your answers.
A great way to start is to ask simple things like Is my name....? Or place something on the floor like your keys and ask your rods to show you where they are. The rods will point in the direction you should walk. As you walk towards your keys the rods will cross as you reach them. Dowsing is fantastic if you have lost things. My son lost his school tie once, we spent about half an hour looking for it. I got out my rods, they took me to his bedroom, towards his window and crossed right by the radiator. Sure enough his tie had fallen down behind the radiator in his room.
For Health:
It is now recognised that modern health risks can be associated with the processed foods we eat. Dowsing about food can help us ascertain whether we should be eating certain foods and whether they are good for us. Not only can we find out whether they are safe we can also find out if we have allergies or intolerances to food, a much quicker and more convenient way than paying for expensive tests. Dowsing can compliment modern medicine it should not be seen as a replacement. Always speak to your doctor regarding any health issues.
The Aura:
You can find out where someone’s aura starts sing rods or a pendulum. If the aura is depleted at any point there may be a physical symptom showing here. If you ask for your aura to be replenished and unblock your chakras you will be re-energised and this should aid your physical symptoms
You can learn to use dowsing as part of your every day life,
determine for yourself what is right and wrong for you
Find lost treasure, missing items and people.
